My '99 2500 will have 270,000 by the end of the week. Only time it has come close to leaving me stranded is when the fifth gear nut fell off at 95k & 201k and when the alternator started failing around 225k, otherwise just typical maitainence.

2003

135. 7k as of now... recent 6 speed, clutch was replaced with Con FE at that time while we were at it, several sets of shocks, 3 sets of tires( Michelins last time around, 30k in 3 months and still look better then GY's did new), water pump 2 weeks ago, original injectors, LP , FP , turbo still working.

210K on my 98. 5 two lifts pumps, original vp-44. Complete front end at 132K. Radiator at 200K. Those are the major repairs. Trans is original. Not bomb. Yet.

getting up there

Turned 152800 yesterday. Still clicking along. Going to add a pressure guage, amsoil the drive train, vulcan pump kit and a few other odds and ends as soon as the new garage gets finished. 30W x 38L x 16H, I can't wait...

No problems other than the following (knock on wood):

1. 3 weeks after I purchased the truck (new) I complained about the paint. Paint chipped and scratched easy (patriot blue). It took 3 years fighting

with the dealer and Dodge. Finaly sent a certified letter for small claims court, then they agreed to re-paint the truck. . Demanded that it was painted by independent paint shop with the best reputation in the are ($6k job).

I think that the paint will now out last the truck... .

2. Air conditioner just started blowing warm air... . I had it recharged and hoping there isnt a leak.

What's the deal with the lift pump? Should I be worried about this? Is there any warning signs that it's going out?

Miles

I have 140,000 miles on my 2005 2500 4x2 I just went to Spokane yesterday and I averaged 25. 5 MPG, I have the high ratio rear end. I have had "0" problems in 140,000 miles.

Only thing I would like to kill is the squeek in the steering column when going down the road, that problem is on my list of things to do... ... Oo.
