Help with 2640 Deere!

I found when mine took off, (lots of smoke and power), I just turned the key off and coasted over to the side of the road. I think it needs a little fuel to keep running so when the solenoid closes it can't keep running.

Thanks, I just put a tee in the line and found a tap plate for the block off a parts Rabbit I have. Ran a 1/2" hose from the tee to the block. Now we'll see.

When she took off like a bottle rocket the key had no effect. It was really mad this time!:D
 
LarryB, That should fix it. The air box will have less oil in it from now on also. When they "Do It", it feels like another cylinder has been bolted on because of the extra power. When mine ran away, it was always after pulling a grade and going down the backside of the hill. It never did it under hard throttle. Chris
