I am in the middle of the KDP fix. I just wanted some advice.

I am going to change the belt, rad hoses, and water pump while

I have easy access. I was wondering if changing the fan coupling

would be a good idea. I have 171,000 miles. Also my battery

terminal connectors are worn out. Does someone make good

quality terminal end replacements or do I need to replace the

whole thing with a premade cable?

Good idea to replace all that stuff while access is there. I don't know of any battery cable terminals; you probably should replace the whole cable. Not sure why you'd have this trouble other than corrosion from acid leaking out from the caps. The fan coupling (clutch) needs replacing only if it allows the fan to free-spin when you turn it by hand (engine OFF of course) or if it is very difficult to turn at all. It should lock-up only when the temp is high enough, then you can hear the roar of a jet engine from under your hood.

battery terminals

Check out Marks Cuxtom Stuff on the Internet for solid copper custom battery terminals. Real nice but a llittle expensive. They have additional terminal connections for all sorts of hookups.

The fan should free spin by hand with the engine off, temp warm or less. If it's hot... it should be locked up.

I did my KDP tab fix without removing the radiator or draining the coolant. Just so you know it isn't necessary to mess with the coolant...

But if you are, be sure to use the drain on the bottom of the radiator, removing the lower hose leaves a lot in because the lower hose is a ways from the bottom.

The pump doesn't need changing unless it has problems. Mine is original yet.
