I adjusted the idle speed tonight to get it back to where it should be. I only raised it roughly 50 rpm (sped is 780 rpm).
When I went to drive it, when you pushed the clutch in to shift gears, the engine would climb by itself. not real fast, but I turned the engine off @ 3000 rpm.
It did this 3 or 4 times before I could get back to the house.
I couldn't see anything that would be affecting the throttle linkage in any way. So I adjusted the rpm back down to 730 or so, and now it doesn't seem to be doing it again.
Any ideas as to what happened ?
