just slapped a lightning

was out on college drive and i see this little red truck pull up and i don't even really pay attention i thought it was like a toyota or something then i hear him rev it a bit and tries to lunge forward. I still just kinda shrug then he does it again and my lady says that's a lightning. I've only raced one before and that was a while ago with just the six gun and injectors, and i held my own with it back then but this kid was in the front seat scrunched with 2 other MALE members. ( must be something about those fords) anyway i keep the xcellerator on extreme on all times and i went ahead and put my six gun up to 3 since that's the setting that i achieved the greatest numbers on the dyno. Then i hammered it and smoked a ton and left that little punk a ways behind me. There was a little bit of traffic ahead so i got around it and then was going to get a light with the guy and was just waiting and when he saw we were gonna get the red light he turned off like a coward... ... ... ... . what a chump. I mean literally we were both on the move so i cannot say what would of happened from a stop but i do know that i would of got that boost to 20 lbs and then gave it to him. I can't believe that he ran away it's not every day that a guys gets a chance like that u know... ... ... ...

Not many performance gasser guys realize how fast some of these trucks can run - sure is fun wiping the grins off their faces!

Been there. Done that. Stock lightings ain't that much. You should see the look on a corvette drivers face when you beat them at Bandimere. This guy just left the track. He did not even stop to get his time slip.

that's awesome i have only really had that one chance before and i wasn't sure if he was holding back at all and last night i was sure this guy wanted some at least for a second i told my lady i'd kill him but i was not totally positive... ... (i think i'll kill anyone i line up against)... ... . well i have only lost 2 times messing around and those were early on in the mod process... ... ..... now 22k later it's pretty sweet... ... .

My boss has an 2003 lightning,I raced him a few times with my 03 6 speed. He could get me off the line by about 2 lengths then stayed the same the rest of the way. My 05 auto should smoke it.

I have a neighbor down the road w/a hopped up s-10 w/a 383 he claims. I stopped & talked w/him last summer & asked what he had & he told it's a stroker 383 & then he says there's not many people around that can beat him so I ask if he wanted to race he says what you got & pointed to my truck he smiled like I was crazy & said you wanna race that?? a Diesel I said sure.

We went out of town,he said go when you want & I'll cath up. He didn't

we stopped he asks you got nos or ??I said just a few minor mods,he just shook his head & said maybe he needs to tune his truck or some cuz I shouldn't of beat him. . cuz diesels are slow.

I was coming home from town today on I94 and a new clean jeep pulls up next to me with a couple college kids driving there moms jeep, Sooo I turned the box on 2 and sped up enough to play with them... so they sped up, and slowed, finally on the 3rd time they kept on it. well I kept on it harder and pulled away without any problems! As the girlfriend smiles sitting in the middle I was happy Oo. too. "Another one bites the smoke" from the somewhat stock looking wicked whistler!

I was in Ft Coliins on new years eve and a guy in a 04 Mustang Gt with Flowmasters, 5spd, pretty girlfriend and I don't know what else, pulled up beside me at a light and started to rev it up. I had the Downloader on extreme and the EZ on level 3 and had 4 other friends. I wasn't even gonna do anything because I figured he had me pretty good with the way his car sounded. Well, just as the light changed, he looked over and gave me a sarcastic smirk! I was like, "We'll see who has the smirking rights here in about 15 seconds. . " and I hammered it. I didn't have time to reach for the 4wd so I left a little rubber on the intersection, but after I got the 315's to grab I left him in the smoke. By the time we hit 85 I was at least 2 car lenghths ahead of him. At the next light he went to the far left turning lane and stared straight ahead; his girlfriend was looking at my truck and laughing hysterically!
