How much clearance will that forward of the front shocks have when the axle flexes off camber? I'm interested in a resevoir for my rear shock on the front axle and was going to run a single in the stock position.

Y-knot, you are truly a craftsman!! That truck looks fantastic. I'm like you, I like to take something, in this case a factory truck a make it completely different. I just can't afford these trucks the way you can. you have a great eye a make every inch of the truck look unique. Looks great!!

How exactly do those front shock lower 'extensions' work???

What spacer confiuration are you running on the rear tires? How far do they stick out from the fenders?

I do plan on taking some more pictures just as soon as I get it finished. I have been waiting for a compressor part to come in, and then I have to wire in the cab gages and switches. The rock domes made it in and they are on, I really like them. The lower extensions I used on the front and rear shocks are simple, they just make up the difference between what I have and what I should have had. I bought the shocks way before I bought the lift kit, and since I changed my mind after the shocks were bought, I had to do something or eat the $1600. 00+ for the cost of the shocks. My solution was to make extensions that would simply make up the difference between the bottom of the shock and the bottom mount. Nothing to complex about them, and the material I selected will be more then suitable for the job. Back end is the same.

On the rear end, I am running a 1-1/4" spacer between the inside dual and the brake drum. This was needed to move the tire out and away from the frame and air bag. Then I am running a 4" spacer between the inside and outside rear dual wheels, this was needed because of the extra wide tires.

I guess what I meant was: If the extension has a bolt on the bottom and top, how does it keep from pivoting and putting huge stress on the upper shock mount?

OK, I got the truck off the lift and on the ground, we took it outside and washed all the dust and dirt off the thing. We have been working on several other projects and you would not believe the dust and grim grinding makes.



Today I got the Reckon clear/tinted overhead clearance lights on, and the LED Reckon back light. I also got the chrome handles and tailgate handle on, I really like the way they look against the black.



Items left to do are: 1. Torque all the suspension mounting bolts down.

2. Install billet handles and so forth under hood.

3. Get a new Air Compressor, mine just burned-up. I had the Quick-Air II for about 6 years, guess I'll get a Quick-Air III?

4. Take the truck to the alignment shop.

5. Adjust the rear bumper.

For those of you that like statistics, I'll take several measurements from around the truck so you can compare the height to yours or someone else's truck. This will come as so as I get back from my trip.

Do you know how much mileage you get off those Dick Cepek Radial F-C II Tire's? I like the tread design but I drive a lot of hwy miles.

Truck looks good, did you use those big shackles you told me about on there, or another project? I like the rear bumper also, build it or buy it? Also, how about a pic from the front, would like to see that front bumper too...

The front and rear bumpers are from Buck Stop, the rear hitch was made to accommodate the winch and add lower receiver. I did get the D-rings like you had, I also ordered two (2) other different sets for a future project. I will be installing one set on the front a bit latter. I am going to re-paint the front and rear bumpers latter on when I spray my 1933 Ford chassis I am building. They will both be the same color, a platinum silver metallic. After getting the D-rings, I think I will install the smaller ones on the front, the big ones look alittle odd, just to big, I'll have to hash that out latter, maybe I can do something that makes them blend in more with the present bumper??



I have a front shot, but on a different computer (we have 7) I'll post it up just as soon as we get back from Germany.
