Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Low boost pressure

With my mods ( see signature ) I am only producing 30 pounds of boost! We tried pinching off the waste gate hose yesterday and it increased to just about 32 pounds... shouldn't I be seeing more than this?

have you checked forboot leaks? if no leaks waste gate or turbo problem ?

Yes... . None that I can see!

What kind of waste gate or turbo problem should I be looking for?

I'm no expert, but that sounds about right from my experience with an EZ & Mach 1. 5's.

Perfect

With a stock turbo you at the perfect max boost. After 32 psi you will just start increasing air temps and not any real benefit. Sam

Thanks guys... . was hoping for a little more boost to help cool down my EGT's while towing, but if 30 is perfect then I guess I am good to go!

I will see first hand if the mods help my towing next week when I pull the Siskyous and the passes around Grants Pass Oregon. My hope is to maintain the speed limit and keep my EGT's under 1250°.
