At 65 mph (no load) in OD,(approx 1800 rpm) boost is 4-5#. I have seen 25# at 2800 rpm under load. Is there a connection with the throttle position sensor cable and boost? It is apparently in the factory position, but there was a recall on my truck several years ago to change the throttle cable or link itself, so I don't know if they messed with it. It has a lot of slack where it connects to the linkage on the side of the pump (with the engine shut off).

Also, what is stock pump timing? I'm thinking about going to 15. 5-16* and wondered what Cummins set it on.

Thanks, Tom

Stock timing info is on the engine data plate on the side of your timing case on the injection pump side.

Boost is relative to exhaust output, which under load at 2800 rpm, there is a good amount.

All in all sounds normal to me as long as you have wastegate mods done which it looks as if you do.
