you can reset the radio by pressing the mute and browse/enter together and hold for several seconds...I was told to do this once by the uconnect help desk when I had an issue. It will reboot the radio and not loose any settings.

Cool! Didn't know about that one!

Or......the theft lock has been activated.

He has tried everything suggested with no luck. His truck is going in tomorrow for blank screen and many recalls!

Will let everyone know the problem.

From what I have seen, and my understanding, the OEM Dodge/Ram batteries are NOT AGM. At the cost of an AGM battery I doubt that any mfg would have them standard, option maybe, but I've never seem them on an option list. For me the best benefit of the AGM is NO corrosion.

AGM survive over discharge better. Need a smart charger to bring them back from totally dead as most chargers will think they are bad. You can get around the problem by paralleling them with a flooded battery for 15-30min of charging.

No answer yet on his touch screen but they told him he needs his EGR system cleaned at $369 . He recently changed his CCV filter.

The oem batteries on my 2014 flooded lead-acid batteries. I got two years out of one and three of the other. I replace them with Sam's lead acid batteries which can be serviced. Meaning you can add water to them. OEM flooded lead-acid battery could not be serviced and when the water got below the plates the batteries went bad. Oem is low quality. Only 2 year replacement unless your truck is still on the 3 year warranty.

Did they actually see that it was too dirty....or are they just unaware that current trucks do not require EGR cleaning at a scheduled interval. It seems others have mentioned here that their dealer still thought it was required maintenance.

Son mentioned the perform service msg that has been on there to please clear it. Service guy said it came on because EGR needs to be cleaned. Son said if it’s required to do it.

I later told him no way!!! It was too late they did it yesterday. We had a three way call with Service Mgr a few minutes ago. He agreed it’s NOT required. But says the service went from required in the 07.5-12’s to recommended for 13 and up.

They wanted two hours to replace front n rear diff fluid $270. I suggested Son pay the $270 as that would cover the cost of their actual labor cost and they would eat the EGR service. Mgr agreed. Son provided the AMZ/OIL GL.

I think it was a fair outcome.

Cummingz batteries, have to be better than anything out there

CAT batteries are excellent, and like batteries made by East Penn, these Cummins batteries should be good too, I believe they're made by JM, correct.

You can get them from Onan, Peterbilt or any Cummins Generator dealer.

The Sons touch screen is up and running. Sounds like some sort of fuse on the battery terminal? $26 for the fuse. Think he arced when changing batteries.

Sorry for hijacking the thread! Was hoping for a quick answer.
