The Big AMG letters on the top is the tip off

That’s what we needed to hear. My new Deka batteries are the same. AGM printed right on top. Everybody else has been guessing. When you have time would you post the FCA part number? It should be printed right on top of the battery.

If the AGM batteries are failing why would we want to use those again? Or is it just the supplier? Maybe Hencho en Meheeco. BTW, I got the AGM (Mercedes) comment and thought that was clever. My 2014 is beginning to crank a little slower so I am likely to be visiting one of the suppliers soon. My 2004.5 is still okay on the Sears Platinums that are nine years old. But I probably just cursed that one. Those are no longer available. Too good I suppose.

All batteries are failing more often. AGM are better than flooded though. The lead in batteries these days is recycled which just isn't as pure as vigin lead so they fail faster.

Good to know about the rebrand. Hope they are still as good. Now I just have to find them. As I recall the last time I checked the nearest supplier was SoCalifornia. Or maybe that was the Deka. Anyway, not much local for me except Interstate and the chain auto stores.

Odyssey is the original, the Sears was the rebrand.

Some claim that the Sears had a couple cost cutting measures during manufacturing; never used the Sears, but my Odysseys continue to work well while taking a beating for the past several years.

His word is plenty good for me.

That works for me also, was not insinuating anything. I am not the one that asked for part numbers, but I do remember who did . Actually him just saying he had AGM was good enough for me. My statement was meant for others who do doubt it .

Ok, time to open my mouth and put my foot into it. For years now I had assumed that my 2013 had AMG batts from the factory. So much that I even argued the point. Well I go to replace my batts the other day and guess what they were NOT AMG type. they were wet cell. And to top it they were very low on electrolyte with No way of removing the caps. I destroyed the cap trying to remove it. I now don't know where I saw the batts with the AMG on them unless it was on the dealer's lot in a new truck. I can't find a part number from the dealer ether. I have installed a set of AMG batts from Rock auto which has presented another issue.... Rock Auto had sent me a total of 3 batts. I only ordered and paid for 2. When I tried to return the extra batt they tried to refund my money. I wrote a note explaining the problem I hope someone gets it figured out.... But with out a live person to talk with I've got my doubts.... So much for trying to be honest....
Ok go light the torches and get the pitch forks I'm ready for my punishment.
If you need me I'll be out in the shop working on my boat,

why can't spring be here..... Winter sucks.

I didn't doubt you may have had AGM batteries in your truck, rather, I was gently pulling your leg at "AMG" batteries ;-)

Maybe they were some leftover batteries from the previous Daimler Marriage :D

I noticed that earlier as well, but didn’t take the time to bring it up.

ED. As soon as I go a whole day without making a mistake I’ll drag you over the coals. Until then you’re fine. I’m sure you’ll be happy with your choice of Deka batteries. They’ve always treated me well. Thanks for the info. Good for you trying to do the right thing by the seller. A mans character is defined by what he does when nobody can see him.
