Hey guys i got my pacbrake installed finally after about 13 hours of work. it seems to work 90% of the time. Every time I start the truck up the switch is in the off position and it still cycles at least 3 times. Most of the times when i up above 40 mph and let off of the gas pedal the pacbrake will work. There are a few times where it will not even kick in at all! After a couple of minutes it will kick in thiough. Is there something wrong that I am not seeing or is it just something simple?

It should work as long as your torque converter is locked. Did you add a transmission controller? Mine holds down to 900 rpm and then unlocks. For hills, you might consider BD's OD lockout which enables you to avoid the dramatic effort to hold 3rd in hills.

Is the compressor constantly running? Check all air connections? Did the pins fully seat at the computer?

I don't think the compressor is running all the time just when it is needed. I figured out that when I start up the truck and the switch is turned off it is normal for to cycle 3 times indicating that the 48RE program is installed. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens. Earlier today I went out and started the truck and turned on the brake and it just stayed on. I figured it was in the warm up mode. Only time will tell I guess.

On first start up with the dash switch in the off position it's normal for it to cycle three times.
