Wow that is patience waiting just over two years to post those photos. LOL Dam Hope that was atleast stock giving u a good excuse to upgrade.

The date needs adjusted on my camera. I don't think that they have stronger 3rd gears for the NV4500. I am putting stock New Venture gears in it, not aftermarket like before.

No, I don't have hd valve springs, I won't run my truck to 4000rpm without the springs. I'm just going off of what guys are saying. This comp file broke my input shaft today. Guess I gotta fix my truck now. :{

Just broke my nv4500 the same way, 2 weeks ago!

Man, that sucks. I wish someone would come out with a set of gears that are made to hold the power that we give our trucks. I was talking to my transmission guy [Doug at Advanced Diesel Technology] & he said that the stock New Venture gears seem to be stronger than aftermarket gears. He really knows his stuff & I trust his opinions 100%. It does make sense considering that I never had problems with stock gears until my bearings failed the last time.

I recently lost my nv4500, and replaced it with a blumenthal nv4500, it comes with brass synchros, stronger 3rd gear, and 5th is also upgraded with a fully splinded main shaft. I am real happy with it so far... about 10,000 miles on it now (wow the miles fly by!). just something to consider

All my parts came from Blumenthal, brass synchros, gears etc.

I GOT MINE IN TODAY!!!!:D:D:D But wont be able to install until tonight:{ I'm sooo excited!! Will post reviews on the install and first impressions tomorrow. My poor transmission! LOL!:-laf

I'm glad to hear they are finally getting into customers trucks. It will be interesting to see how they "test" out over the next few months.

well, I got it in tonight and hmmm... . how do I put this?
OH MY GOD! THIS THING IS FREAKIN' AWSOME!:D I ran a smarty /tst comp combo this past fall and the Quad is not as touchy as smarty or as harsh as tst comp but felt as strong as both. edge comp was ok but this is just soooo much more. the comp on 3x5 was all the single disc converter could take and boost was 39psi with moderate amount of smoke, with the Adrenaline on pl03 I had no issue chattering the converter at 1900rpm and WOT and ran over 42psi I let out and it was smooth and controlable not a fall-on-your-face start over but rather just like a stock truck reacts to off-on again throttle, smooth. the control pod is easy to use (even on the fly)and has a nice dimming feature.
BUT... the only issues I've had is install directions could have been better, more complete. The fuel sender isnt in yet and the wires to the VP tap and pressure sender are a bit short. I initially didn't hook-up the EGT probe and was a bit worried when after a short test the truck didn't shut off:eek: the supplied oil/trans temp sensor dances so I have to average the reading. and I STILL dont know how to adjust ANY of the parameters of this otherwise aptly named power box. Perhaps it is on the web site and I'll just have to look.
Over-all this has a real WOW factor and for most owners I think Quad hit the nail on the head, great job!

oh thats sweet, you'll be happy.

So I am thinking that since I already need a fuel pressure gauge and a trans temp gauge, maybe I should buy the quad sooner than later. Before I start towing again in the spring. It sounds like the s#!t, it will just leave me wanting a new turbo. Oh well... little by little I guess

tried the cruise today on my 98. 5, just barely surging on PL03. I dropped to PL02 and dead smooth. Way better than any other power adder I've used bar none. :) Also towed a 4000 lb horse trailer in PL02 cruise at 70mph on 6% grades and 850* on the pyro pre turbo! I ran a higher temp last week EMPTY with the comp on 3x5. Can't wait to run down the 1/4 with this thing!!!!:-laf

I sure wish you'd quiet down a bit on that thing - you're gonna get me in trouble! ;):-laf:-laf

NAHHhhhhh - keep the reports coming - good news is ALWAYS welcome! ;):D

The only issue I'm having right now is the lack of detailed instructions/description of useage. like how to avoid turbo timer when I want to, or how do I hook up the USB cable? And now I need a new torque converter as this one isn't up to the task anymore! But thats a good thing! LOL!
