Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) smarty?

but on 2 next question. recently added a smart an was just wondering if its normal that its kind of laid back. compared to my edge its not even close but on paper its supost to b pretty close to the same. just wonderen if this is normal?

Are you comparing it to an EZ or a Comp?

The Juice adds well over 100rwhp. The smarty adds between 30-40rwhp so it would be no comparison on peak HP. The smarty has the best low end and "speed" for spoolup out there.

well im not sure what it adds. i cant find were it shows the specs on the web site. it shows all other specs for all the gen's xcept the 2nd. i just thought it would b more agresive than what it is. it might b just me though!

I know every truck is different from stock to bombed but yes your right the listing on Mads site is very vague for the 2nd Gen's and what is actually does give you. my Smarty only really comes alive when Im on SW8 or SW9 and timing on 3 TQ on 5 or 6 and my TST at least on 6 other wise to me or to atleast on my truck it all seams low on grunt on the lower levels and I really dont feel much punch when I use the fuel saver mode. it just feels like a dog that take for ever to pull RPM's Im not bashing the smarty I love it and Im not going to get rid of it just would like proof that it is adding something.

hell I dont even know what my truck is putting down for HP or TQ with or without the smarty.
