Smilies in Microsoft Outlook

Anybody know how to insert smilies into Microsoft Outlook and not lose the animation? I can insert them into my email messages, but I lose the animation. I'm using Microsoft Word as my e-mail editor. TIA

John, I just cut and paste them, using the code doesn't work i. e.

: ) for a smile. Even animated ones work but only once, if you try to forward mail with the smiles it reverts to code and doesn't work.
