And we need to keep the wifes apart on the days that either of us want to get new 'toys'. Mine always hate em until theyre in then she loves what it does to the truck. She just never seems to get over the money... . LOL

Exactly!

I notice that you work for HCA what profession are you in? My "soon to be" wife will be graduating with her RN in early May. Hince the interview with Vanderbilt.

If you want to hear how loud stacks are, I'll come over some time. We can do an injector install. Steve St. Laurent said I have the loudest turbo and stack setup he has ever heard. :D

Spotted Wade today!

Hey Wade I saw you today!

Just as I was getting onto Briley Parkway where White Bridge Road ends and Briley begins. I was leaving school (Nash. State Tech) and I saw this Maroon CTD with chrome brush guard and I thought man that looks like Wade's truck... ... . :--) THAT IS WADE'S TRUCK! :-laf

Tried you on the CB hoping you might be monitoring it some way/how because I know you have all those wierd radio's, but I guess not. My Uniden Grant has side band but I'm not familiar with how to use it.

Anyhow good to see you bud, if I hadn't been in such a big hurry I would have turned around and chased you down.

We need to get together sometime!

spotted

With a bike in the back. Was going to buy a trailer. Got it, sooted it-have to turn the fuel down a bit.

Nawp don't have no CB capabilities in that truck, but with the radios that are in it I could talk to you anywhere you go in Middle TN--no hollerin, no cussin, no fussin. That is if you had a ham license. (cheap easy, valid for 10-years).

Gotta go ride. SPOT me on Monteagle today!

Hey wade, we out to get together and yak it up on a channel some night, I just got my Galaxy 99 and palimor installed back in the truck yesterday, and I can pretty much cover any ham channel you can, not all but most of.

love to

talk to more TDR folks on the radio, but N4HWL Ken and KF4SJL Warren are the only ones I know.

We talk on 146. 910 which is a repeater frequency that covers most of Middle TN. I'm set up for 2-meters, 440, and 220 in the truck. That means 144-148mHz, 420-450mHz and 222-225 mHz all FM-most scanners will pick this stuff up.

The ham "channels" you're talking about are probably in the 10-meter band 28-29. 7 mHz- USB. Most phone (voice) activity there will be around 28. 400 with CW only (morse code and digital) between 28. 0-28. 300. Listen all you want, but don't get caught transmitting up there.

You might also be able to hear hams between 24. 890-24. 990 USB and CW.

We also can talk on 160m, 75/80m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12 and 10m (covered above). As well as 6m, 900mHz, and 1200mHz.

I'm usually monitoring 146. 910, 145. 490, 147. 360 (tone 114. 8)linked and 444. 650 (big linked system), as well as 223. 960-also big linked system.

Yeah the Galaxy will run between 26. 200 - 28-700 (approx. ) been awhile since I went through all of them. Buy just the same its a lot of channels. I dont have my Ham licence yet, but have been thinking about it, I just dont have the $$$$ for the true mobile ham yet, so I figured I would hold off on it til I could afford one. The big problem around the KC area is there arent many people left still interested in talkin that way anymore, they all want to do it this way online. I pretty much put the radio in the truck again cause I was tired of looking at the $1500 investment sitting in a box in my garage.

MID-TENN CHAPTER

Not to get off the subject but what ever happened to a Midd-Tenn Chapter idea? Even though I dont live there (hopefully by June 1st I will) I would still join and or support in anyway. I roll through there 3 or 4 times a year anyway to see family in Clarksville, so I would definitly support in anyway I could.

chapter

Not really enough interest to spread the work--I mean word around. I think I collected 3 or 4 phone numbers/email addresses from here.

We'll do it. I'm just covered up racing/training mountain bikes right now. Gets a little hotter and I'll get over that and appreciate the Cummins powered mobile A/C unit I have.

No reason why we can't get together without the "official chapter" designation. Gimme a time and place.

Now to the English thing. Your FM broadcast receiver radio in the truck reads out mHz. Like 103. 3 is 103. 3 mHz and if you tune up one smidge it'll be on 103. 5. Ham stuff is like that only we'd tune from 146. 520 to 146. 525 mHz. CB has pre-selected frequencies just like your TV. Fer example channel 19 is 27. 185 mHz I think. And I could look up the TV freqs--and there is one for the audio and another for the video on each channel. Damm now I'm getting confused, pass me a cold one.

Yeah we need to get together again. We haven't seen each other since BMD GO'n. I've been back up to Cynthiana 4 times since then! That's a LONG drive!:(

Anyhow check the sig... ... most of the performance stuff has come in the past 4 months..... not to mention 2001 Flip up mirrors, & Rob Thomas Ultimate Console. Oo. :D Scotty II should be here probably Tuesday!

So when are we gonna get together again Wade? We gotta try and get all these TN boys together?

Give it at least a month's notice so some of us can get away from our hectic schedules.

well i didnt mean there HAD to be a chapter by no means, hell i like the informal stuff better, it just doesnt make any difference to me, i was just stating that if their is interest in a formal chapter or what ever, i would support that as well.

and you are right wade on the freq. for channel 19 on AM for cb's. 27. 185. I think you explained our freq. giberish pretty good.

mark you add stuff once a week, TDR Admin, has to be gettin tired of updating you sig. . :D

ill keep up with yal, and try to get down if something like a dyno day or bomb party, or anything materializes.

It was nice to meet you last night. You are quite passionate about your truck.

Let me know when get ready to pull that beast... . I want to see you hook up.

Bobby I appologize for talking your head off last night. :(

That's one thing you are right about I am certainly passionate about my trucks. Right after you left my friends said "can't you shut up, can't you see that mans tired and has to drive all the way to springfrield. ?" :-laf

The pull that I personally plan on hooking @ is going to be in Cynthiana Kentucky on July 25. My buddy I was telling you about last night will hopefully be going with me, but if not I know that I have enough friends in Cynthiana to make sure that I get home/fixed if something happens. :D

Again nice to meet you, if you'd like the next demonstration could be a ride! :-laf:eek:  :D

Lets try and plan a meeting/get together sometime around the middle of next month. I'll look at a calender and post a date and see how everyone feels about it.

P. S. here's a copy of my sig so you can see what all I have (minus appearence only goodies i. e. mirrors/console)
