Gold one was dead! Couldnt get more than maybe 8psi top, then it stopped working. Chrome one is perfect. Now I gotta call them and see if I cant get a replacement

Called CalPacific in Ventura yesterday and they had 2 of the pumps in stock for $64. 90. Went in today and the cost was $51. 83 no questions asked.

Dang, that is where I shopped. I called them Monday and ordered two at $64. 90.

I received them today and they were invoiced at $58. 41 plus shipping.

So . . . in 4 days they have dropped from $64. 90, to $58. 41, to $51. 84. I should have waited until next year at this rate :-laf

Just ordered two pumps from Cummins West in Redding Ca. They will be delivered tomorrow. One for my truck and one for my son-in-law's truck. Putting his on on Saturday. I have the Vulcan Relocation Kit for mine. so it will be another day. Price is $64. 90 plus shipping and tax. Still beats $200. 00

I spoke with Cummings, and using the part number listed earlier in this thread for a kit and lift pump, was quoted $160. 00. This, I was told, is regardless of department/wholesale affiliation. They also said that the kit ($230) is only for warranty and recall sales, not part swaps. Have things changed that quick?

It depends on the dealer. Some are tightening the noose.

Try some of the dealers mentioned through the thread. . tele #s have been listed as well.

Just went by the kenworth dealer who is a distributor for cummins and gave him part #'s for pump and #'s for kit (thanks for the part #'s by the way) and he said the pump is 164. 00 and the kit is 64. 80 I got the kit and it has the pump in it Ibelieve the tag says fuel transfer kit so maby they won't think it is a pump. well I have it and am going to install this weekend. thanks for all the help.

Whoa do I have a story to tell about getting those pumps:

I went down to the local cummins dealer (after being turned away before) and asked again. I was promptly sold 2 pumps, no questions asked. This was around 30 mins before closing time.

I walk back out to my truck, and turns out I had locked my keys in it. This particular cummins place has a fence around it so before the last of the employees could leave, I had to be able to move my truck. I'm sitting there 45 minutes from my spare set of keys, with my auto club roadside assistance card locked in the truck and closing time came. The last person there quickly realized my predicament and grabbed a slimjim, which didnt work to unlock it. Then someone noticed my pumps and said ''hey you're not supposed to have those'' and I was thinking great, what have I gotten myself into. Then the guy said he sympathized with me and made me guess what their actual cost is for those pumps. He wouldnt tell me exactly, but I got him to somewhat tell me it was somewhere between $15 and $30. Then pop-a-lock came and my truck was unlocked. The cummins employees made me do a burnout/smoke out for them before they left.

Here in Erie Pa there is no close Cummins dealer. So I called two of the local Dodge dealers for a price af a lift pump. I just about got squishy britches!!! The first one I called quoted me $ 394 and the other one $292. Niether one of them knew what the 4090046 part#is. So then I called a cornbinder dealer and he quoted me $95 dollars. Why is everyboby so proud of that 2cent piece of crap? Would it be possible to go to western auto get a $10 fuel pump and duct tape it up in there?

Gotta try some of the other tele #s posted through out the thread.

Even if it cost you $10 in shipping. . so order two to make it worth your while.

So are these 12x1. 5mm threads or 3/8 NPT or -6an or what? can anyone confirm?

What exactly is the "campaign" ??

65 bucks hard to not just buy one and toss it under the seat... . but my stupid carter is 3/8 NPT so i'd have to buy two 12x1. 5mm to barb fittings for it to work if that is the case.

Anyone have any pics of these pumps and whatever comes in the kit?

Mine are the same as stock which seems to be the 12m.

None of my NPT fittings worked.

The vulcan fittings that came with the Geno's Vulcan kit worked fine on the two campaign pumps I bought.

The reason I had a problme is that the valley of the threads on the fittings had a build up of platting and had to be chased. I called Vulcan. I used the inlet of the pump since I didn't have a die... left curly Qs in the inlet of the pump, just had to do it till it came out clean, and cleaned the port on the pump inbetween.

;) I know what you mean about buying more than one. . 4 of them are just about the same money then the DC dealer wants for one.

Back from older threads from research done.....

P/N 5080885AA is the DC # which = P/N 3990105 from Cummins.

The P/N 3990082 = (1) 3990105 + (1) 4025182 wire harness for newer Dodge harness.

The 4932707 is the pump in the campaign 4090046 kit we've been buying.
