How do trailer lights work?

more goose neck?'s

Looking in install a class V hitch on my 03 RAM. Is either the Titan or the Torklift a direct bolt on? Torklift states on one page of the website that no holes are required to be drilled, but on the applications page, it states 5-6 needs to be drilled and the factory hitch needs to be modified? I don't mind having stacked hitches (might look kinda cool), but I don't want to remove the factory hitch either. Does the Titan "stack" like the Torklift or do I need to remove the factory hitch?

Another question is, if the Torklift states a 1700lbs tongue weight, do they sell a weight distributions setup cabable of that with a 2" receiver? Or does anyone else. Reese has the Titan 2 1/2 inch receiver setup rated at 1700 lbs.

Thanks,

Dale

I have the Putnam Class V hitch and would buy it again in a heartbeat. It will hold anything you throw at it and was a easy direct bolt on. Take a look at it before you buy one of the others. :)

Wolfman,

I have a TT that has a measured tongue weight of 1700 pounds. I can not find a ball mount for a 2 inch that is any more than 1200 pounds. The Titan seems to be the only game in town. I have looked from one end of the internet to the other and keep coming back to the Titan.

Thanks,

Dale

I have a Reese Titan and would not use anything else :D I pull a four horse trailer and at one time had a 10. 5ft camper (I have an 8ft now) the Titan worked perfectly pulling my trailer behind that camper. I have never used a Tork Lift so I cannot comment on it but I sure like my Titan!!!!!

I've got the Reese Titan as well. No complaints here, bolted right up and has taken everything I've done to it well. I use an extension to tow trailers behind my slide in camper. A very beefy unit. I really see the frame breaking before it would.
