I was at the dealership this morning getting the tire pressure monitor fixed.
I started walking around and found something:
a 2006 3500 Dually SLT Mega Cab 4x2, 6 speed manual with the 5. 9 H. O. Oo.
It has a Hidden Hitch Gooseneck, Exhuast brake, and 98,000 miles.
My truck has 11,000 miles. In that time I have done 4 oils changes thanks to the DPF!
I have no problems working on a truck. I know it will need a clutch before to long.
I hardly work my truck, I rarely tow. I will be moving next year with a few more moves in the next 6 years, probably with a gooseneck trailer.
I believe I will be happier with the 2006: No headaches with the DPF, better gas mileage (I get 13).
I will have to pay for it. They will give me more for my trade than the 2006 costs, but it will be over 10 grand short of the payoff. I will be putting down 6. I believe the added cost now will pay dividends in less expenses later.
What do you guys think?
