KIKER: I have the same 07 truck as you and my mileage is identical to yours. Only difference is I have a 6 speed stick. Personally I have a raft of friends that get the same mileage as you & Me. Don't believe every thing you read about 20mpg. I use to get that with my 98, but not with this 07. Additionally I am now on

3rd clutch for G56 transmission, Horrible clutch design

New front carrier bearings and axle bearings and seals due to driveline vibration

Power steering high pressure line

front door speeker noise

going back to the shop on Monday for center bearing and hanger on the drive shaft.

My truck is 100% stock with 36,000 on it. Oh and it has the fabelled injector knock from He11. I love the truck but I am growing tired of all the shop time. The next time this Cheap ***** clutch takes a dump I am going to replace the whole package with an after market dual disc one to cure it once and for all and while I'm at it I will install a Dynatrac free spin set up in the front end. For what it's worth I still think the Dodge is the best truck out there at the moment for what it is able to do.

Hey Steved: I mentioned that to the mechanic at the dealership and he says it checks out. What I don't get is all my friends trucks don't knock at all. But I have driven some 06 models that also do it. Frigggin Strange. I have now got to the point where I turn up the radio so I can't here it. I know it sounds like an Ostrich with his head in the sand, but I can't get any closure on it. So for now listening to Classic Rock works for me. Thanx for the input though.

At 46,700 miles I have had to replace the lift pump and the power steering pump. Due to marginal headlights I have added the Bright Box and Aux driving lights. The AC output is marginal but is just fine pur my dealer. All in all a good truck.

I'm at 45,000 miles now and it's still at 13, give or take a half. I commute to work 50 miles one way and drive conservatively and am running Smarty Jr. I've tried the Jr. every way, and back to stock, and it doesn't change the mileage much, or I don't leave it on one setting long enough. I like the throttle response enough to keep it on #2 or #3 setting. It stumbled on me one day and threw a code, but I was able to clear it with Jr. and haven't had it recur. Still on the factory General tires! I dread getting 6 new tires! I ruined one the other day when a rock got lodged between the left duals and I drove the lease road too far, too slow, and it poked a hole in the sidewall. I knew it was in there when I got on pavement and it flew out!

06 3500 4x4 6spd 48000 km and the tailpipe has rusted through at the bend and now the muffler has rusted off at the inlet. I've had funky interior lights as well. Open the door and they would turn off almost immediately (with the door open). I've disconnected the batteries to fix it, first fix lasted 18 months, still working ok after the 2fix. Everything else has been my fault, like tearing the wiring harness out of the transfer case shift motor.

After 38,500 miles:

Lift pump was weak at 35,000 and replaced with a GDP 392 kit.

Tires replaced at 36,000 - Goodyear GSA's had large cracks around the bead on the fronts.

ABS controller replaced at 37,000 - Relay stuck causing ABS pump to run continuously.

Upper ball joints currently bad and will be replaced shortly.

Very impressive for the size/weight.

got my 07 Dullie 4X4 back from the shop. the Grinding noise is finally gone. They opened up the front Ring & Pinion Gear depth and it did the trick. It was at 4 thou on the depth and they opened it up to 9 thou. 10 thou is the max before it is considered out of spec. It's close but still barely in tolerance. What I find odd is it would only grind half way through the ring gear rotation. It's like the ring gear is warped. You could see where the gear wanted to bottom almost bottom out and then open up on the other side. So hopefully it will now stay together. will see. At least I got the extended warranty so no worries for now.

Stock 03 SO 47re with a whopping 11k miles. Nothing to report. These ball joint/u joint threads have me concerned though. Scary stuff... chassis parts wearing out so quickly.

Wish I could find a Linex dealer nearby. Even better if they can do colors.

Still havent done Spooled-up's tank mod... parts sitting on bench for 6 months.

I must be going deaf. . radio doesnt seem to play as loud as it use to.

Still havent gotten around to buying rear floor mats. .

MPG not as good as others claim.

Like I said. . best truck I have owned to date
At 40k I had the dealer replace the upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends (the dealer paid) and at 80k I had to replace the ball joints and tie rod end along with both steering knuckles (i paid-but put in MOOG joints). I have installed a support for the steering box and a new steering shaft. I have about 150k on the truck and it seems to be fine.

I'm happy to report that I have not had any problems with my 05, which went to Alaska and back once with a large truck camper. Plans to go to Alaska again soon with our new 5er.

I had a 2003 / Ram 4WD, Long bed, I had 1200 miles on it when I noticed the vibration.
It took me 1 1/2 years to convince them that they had a problem. I had to get an attorney to resolve it. I understood that the vibration was in the yoke in the differential. They took one off of another truck and put on mine. It reduced the vibration but did not make it go away. They finally told me to go to the dealer and pick out another truck. . Which by then it was a 2005... ... ... ... I should add that the vibration occurred between 70 to 75 mph... ... ... ... .
