Visually it looks the same, but the only one I have seen is on the truck so I can't comment on weight. The truck drives/feels no different that the '10 my other buddy has.

The standard, even thou I make more crank tq than the HO I couldn't see why. People get lots of miles on the stock 5. 9 with added torque, so this should still be a huge improvement.

I have driven manual 6. 7's with the standard damper and the HO damper, and there is no difference in how they drive as far as smoothness.

Has anyone tried this mod on a 01 HO 6speed?

Thanks Clayton

Not yet, be the first to try and write a review. :D

The big question would be if the tone ring from the 6. 7 damper is going to interfere on the 24V. I don't think so but without checking its a question.

And if not I am sure you can sell the parts to a CR owner.

Well I went whole hog and ordered the HO. Looking forward to seeing how it compares with the FD. It would also be interesting to compare its size against the one you bought - maybe take a couple of measurements.

It's on, off for a test drive.

I didn't weigh it, but the box says 35 lbs, and it is significantly heavier than the OEM oem.

I can't see the HO version being 2x as good, but thats about what it costs.

Just got back from a trip down the highway to return the borrowed 36mm fan clutch wrench.

She is certainly quieter and smoother. I would say the damper removed 80% of the SBC OFE noise, and generally quieted the combustion. I actually hear a little bit of timing rattle now, the first time since I swapped turbos a year ago, not loud but can hear it. I still have a little gear rollover noise, but nothing like it was.

I was at NAPA swapping out my 194NA bulbs for 5 from the same lot (looks funny when the clearance lights aren't the same orange) and another CR pulled in, man that thing was not nearly as quiet or smooth at idle.

If the grass dries out enough to pull it out of the yard we are heading out this weekend.

The noise I am hoping to reduce is the 1300-1700 rpm moan that developed with the clutch change. I was able to hear it a little today, but never felt it!

/\ My wife calls stuff like this "Truck Porn".

Now that I have been spend sooo much time on the Cummins forums, my wife stopped asking what I am looking at on the computer. My truck has earned the name tow b***h because it takes up so much of my time on the computer or out in the garage (truck was purchased to tow my wife's travel trailer). My wife hates the competition. :D Truck is A. K. A. other wife. :-laf

This begs the question, Which one is higher maintenance? ;)
