verizon cellular, vets

Im sure Im the only one that didnt know this. But I upgraded my cell plan today. I just happened to stumble on to the fact that verizon gives veterans a 16 or 17 percent discount on your cell plan. It wont make you rich, but anything to make the call bill smaller is always welcome.

It really has been a long time since vets have gotten much respect.Long past due.Some companies offer a discount but only around veterans day or memorial day smh

Even though I am a retiree from Verizon and received the employee discount, it really did not add up to much. They would only give you the discount on products/items that cost a certain amount. But, all the taxes/fees usually ate up what discount you received. So, I switched to crickett and have not looked back.

Did not know they gave discount to Vets though (USAF myself). May have to look at it again and see what discounts I can get...Employee and Vet?

For my plan it saves me only about $5 or 6 a month. But anything I get off my cell bill I consider a plus. It is also 25% of accessories which can add up when you buy a new cover, pwr plug, screen guard, etc.

Somewhat off topic, but my local NAPA gives a 10 percent vet discount as well.

Retired USAF here and did not know Verizon gave a Vet discount. I am thinking of going to Cricket also. Since the last iPhone software upgrade, my phone has been using data even when at home and Wi-Fi is available. I am most definitely not smarter than this 5C that I have. I found the Cellular Data "switch" in settings and turned it off as well as every APP. The usage has stopped.
