I'm almost sure the installer didn't pull the flag at the new sensors....
Do the 4500/5500 trucks not have TPIS?
No.....not as standard equipment. I believe anything over the 14,001 lb GVWR threshold changes Federally mandated equipment.Do the 4500/5500 trucks not have TPIS?
The point is- can you order it, not do you have it.
Yes.....there is.Still not to the point.....
Is there a RAM out there with TPIS and 17.5 or 19.5 Tires from factory.
That would proof that it is nonsens that the tire is to thick to send through.

Yes.....there is.
And no....RAM doesn’t offer 17.5 tires and wheels OEM.
there are many different 17.5s and 19.5's tires in different ply's etc, so some might be thin enough or might not have as many steel side wall bands and they would allow the sensor communication , but a 16 ply 4900lb cap one might not.
I never went deeper into it by now, but even the 5500 doesn't come with 19.5 from factory?
I'm shocked.
I have an appointment Weds, to figure it out, but I am not too hopeful. So is there a particular internal sensor I need to install to communicate with my 2017 SRW 3500 ? Manufacturers and Part numbers please. I know the frequency is 433hz . But after reading pages and pages of stories about the problems with the stock tips systems not reading other sensors, I am thinking there is no solution, other than a totally stand alone aftermarket system.Plus I also read that the stock system, even if I could get a sensor to talk to the truck, would not show pressures at the needed pressures I will run at 100psi+The thickness or construction of the tires is not your problem.
to match the SRW rear axle load while towing and campingI’m finding it hard to understand why you’d need pressures in the 100 psi range![]()
