Here I am

19.5" tires are too thick to allow tire pressure sensors to read

Still not to the point.....

Is there a RAM out there with TPIS and 17.5 or 19.5 Tires from factory.
That would proof that it is nonsens that the tire is to thick to send through.

there are many different 17.5s and 19.5's tires in different ply's etc, so some might be thin enough or might not have as many steel side wall bands and they would allow the sensor communication , but a 16 ply 4900lb cap one might not.

I never went deeper into it by now, but even the 5500 doesn't come with 19.5 from factory?
I'm shocked.

The thickness or construction of the tires is not your problem.
I have an appointment Weds, to figure it out, but I am not too hopeful. So is there a particular internal sensor I need to install to communicate with my 2017 SRW 3500 ? Manufacturers and Part numbers please. I know the frequency is 433hz . But after reading pages and pages of stories about the problems with the stock tips systems not reading other sensors, I am thinking there is no solution, other than a totally stand alone aftermarket system.Plus I also read that the stock system, even if I could get a sensor to talk to the truck, would not show pressures at the needed pressures I will run at 100psi+

Update;
Heres what I found out, this only pertains to a 2017 SRW 3500 pickup . After breaking the bead of the tire, we stuck the activator tool into it . It activated the sensor. We reinstalled the 19.5" wheel/tire combo, on the truck and within about 15 minutes of driving the truck read the sensor! I would call that a success , however the system maxes out at 101psi, and after a long talk with a tire pressure engineer, we think its the trucks electronics not the sensors. But I still consider it a success because the display on the trucks dash will still show an pressure loss under 101lbs, that will give me a fair warning and most likely I will never have to go over 110lbs even with a load safety margin.

So heres what I think ;the sensor activator tool the tire installer was using did not have enough signal strength through the thick Toyos until we stuck it inside but the trucks receiver does.

Update on the rig ; forged polished aluminum 19.5" Ricksons with 245 Toyos. I installed the Centramatics I had for the steel Ricksons . Now the wheels/tires are dead smooth. Good! And the Centramatics do not interfere with the tire pressure monitors, more good news! :):):):)
