I'm about to add some gauges so that I can start Bombing. I have a 95 with a 5 speed. Since I don't have a need for trans temp, should I go with just boost and EGT or should I add a third to monitor??? What do you guys like?

Soon I will add TST #5 plate and bigger injectors. I already heard, there's a new clutch in my future. Already have aftermarket K&N Air.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You might as well install a 3 gauge pillar now. Then you can put a fuel pressure or oil temp gauge in. Which most people ultimatley end up installing anyhow.

I agree. I orginally bought the two gauge mount and ended up having to buy the three... boost, EGT, and fuel pressure. I wouldn't want to be without any of them.

Without a doubt- take three. I wish they made a four #ad
but there isn't enough room. I do have the need for the trans temp and now am left trying to figure out a good clean spot for a fuel pressure guage and maybe an oil temp..... decisions, decisions.

Go with a dual gauge (like SPA's) and you can get 6 gauges in three holes or four gauges in 2 holes. They are spendy but they are nice.

JR2 has the answer, SPA's all the way! I personally don't like more than 2 guages on the pillar, SPA's let you monitor 4 things instead of just 2.

I installed my fuel pressure gauge in that useless square hole above the AC controls. I removed the dash bezel and the square hole comes out with 2 screws. I got a piece of 1/8"plastic larger than the square hole in the dash bezel, cut the right size hole in it for my gauge, painted it flat black and used contact cement to glue it to the back side of the dash bezel and it looks like a factory install.

Thanks guys. I'm serously considering the dual gauge from Westach for boost and EGT. I read the product review and it sounded real good. I also agree that if I go with a dual pillar set I will probably end up making it a tripple later. Hence my reason for the original question.

For those of you who recommended fuel pressure, I read in another post earlier this week that it isn't advised to continously monitor fuel pressure. I assume you guys aren't having any problems and the gauge doesn't bounce all over the place?? Do tell.

Bill,
I've had the Westech Pyro/Boost from Geno's in my truck for the past 2 years and have had zero problems with it. It's in the dash where that idiotic square hole used to be. But, like you, I'm looking to put something on the pillar.

I too have Westach gauges, no problems at all. I have the 3-pod on order from Geno's with Westach's new fuel pressure gauge, hopefully in soon. Westach's look real good with the stock gauges, just put the green cover over the lights, makes the right look. So, that will be a total of 5 gauges in 3 holes - transmission temp, boost, fuel pressure and two EGT (switched using the combo gauge). I'm pretty sure no one will ever come out with a five gauge pod! Would have to extend into the fenderwell!!
