Well after 6 months of waiting, I finally put the Ute on. The bumper was easy, the Milemarker 12k winch was another story. Anyway, it's done and looks good.

I know what you mean about keeping a large amount of aluminum looking nice!!!

I have a UTE bed on my truck and just recently had the thing powder coated. It is "beautiful" according to my wife and she says it no longer looks like a farm truck!!

Sorry, I dropped off the scene for a while, due to work commitments and moving house, but I must say your taste in vehicle color and aftermarket front bumper is impeccable :D. Now you just need to lose them 16 inch tires and go for the 19. 5 inch versions.....

Unfortunately, I still have the Sport radiator grille which I want to change for the pre-2001 model year Sport or regular (non-Sport body style), which will then allow me to recess the UTE back into it's rightful place. I'll start searching the TDR classifieds. Have you (really) used that winch yet?

Cheers

I believe it is 100 pounds. I wonder if I am in the minority but I just find the UTE bumper FAR too gaudy. I am wierd?:) Maybe it has to do with the steps towards the bottom or it might just be having a set of turn signals when the truck already has them. Oh well, one man's love is another man's toilet. ;)

Ahemmm, those are 19. 5" Alcoa wheels with 285 Michelins, 6 of them... BTW, a picture doesn't do the look justice. I was really worried that I would be sacrificing the looks of the Dodge for some front end protection. (Deer deflectors) But Chipstien is correct, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or something to that effect. :D

03 Ram Bullbar is just around the corner

The final Prototype is on its way to be fitted. All the testing is done. This one is the first completed one with all the trimmings. Photos will be posted in a week or two and there will be another special deal for the early birds.

Here is a page with the prototype, but there will be some changes. The turn indicators will be the same as the second gen Ram, not like the ones in this photo.

Keep looking for the pre-release special to be posted soon. You can get on the mailing list by sending an e-mail to -- email address removed --

more later,

Cheers,

Woohoo! Looks good! I like the clean rounded lines and as much as I liked the "steps" on the 2G model, I'm glad they're not on the 3G. I like the smaller turn lights too, wish they could stay! Any chance of getting one with no turn signal holes at all? That way we could cut our own or throw some LED's in there or something.

turn indicators are a must

The law requires that these indicators be in the bumper since the bars block the factory indicators from certain angles of view.

The small indicators are expensive. The older style are used on our Freightliner, the second gen Ram and several other models in Australia, so it is a matter of cost and uniformity. The Ram factory fog lights will mount in the holes under the uprights. The look great in this bumper.

I should have some up to date shots soon. The final prototype will be here in about a week, then we can post some good pics... .

Cheers,

Ute Man

How expensive can they be when you're talking about a bumper that already requires a second mortgage to purchase? I mean, what's another 50 bucks here and there? I like the small ones! :D
