Anyone got an estimate on the weight?

Hi all,



I may be needing to move a non-running Ford L8000 tractor in a few weeks and I was hoping to tap into the vast knowledge here. The truck is a single axle Cab and Chassis w/ some kind of blown up engine in it. It doesn't have a bed of any kind on it. I may be able to get it to a scale in a few weeks, but the truck is over 100 miles away and I'd hate to drive out there with the intention of pulling it w/ my truck only to find out that the stupid thing weighs 18,000lbs or some such thing.



So here's the question: Can anyone offer a guestimate as to what this thing may weigh?

I'm gonna guess about 9-11,000 #'s, the Peterbilt I had was BIG and it weighed 16,500#'s, that L single axle isn't to heavy.

I ran a Louisville Ford tandem axle tractor that weighed in at a little over 12,000.

That single axle should be less...
