So before the new year think you could spare 35 minutes and drive the Li Red Express so we all can here how sweet those pipes sound?

Gonna be tough friends... taking RV out Sunday and gonna replace brake caliper bushings, shocks, and hub grease cap seals today and tomorrow.

I'll see if I can get a YouTube acct while we're camping so when we get back, we can make an EPIC motion picture.

Cheers, Ron

Gary,

Physical therapy is really working well, I can walk about 15 minutes on level ground. I've bought a new fuel pump for the LRE and am looking to install it either Saturday or next week. It's hard starting and fuel is draining back out of fuel filter, but no leaks. I ordered and received a manifold heater that attaches to the exhaust manifold to heat the air into the intake. After all that, I'm going to shoot the timing. Wife assigned me "Other duties" and we're heading to the coast Fri day after next.

Thanks for checking... I need to be prodded sometimes.

Sounds good. I had fuel pump blues on my M880 years ago mostly I think from tank scum crud.

Good to hear PT is working. Our son just completed and landed a good spot as a Physical Therapy Asst and he just got married nice and simple saving $$$$ for a house. His GI benefits paid off.

I’ve been doing more and more tinkering with Airstream appliances cleaning and inspection. Today’s big addition a bug screen for furnace. Hard work opening that package.

Ron, How is PT coming along sound like better progress, need to prodded you along on fuel pump install here really, do want to hear the cop motor and noisey sweet exhaust system soon kindly!

Friends,

I have a small window tomorrow and Thu to work on the LRE, although I'm thinking of just putting it on jack stands, pull the wheels and have easier access to the fuel pump, my head barely fits under the front of this truck. Then, while it's up, inspect the brakes, and degrease the front bearings.

I need some advice: The manifold heater attaches to the exhaust manifold via two exhaust manifold bolts.... I'm a little concerned about damaging them removing them... ant tips from the gallery?

Since my report in my previous post, my wife and I decided to replace the flooring in our bedroom and its scheduled for Tuesday. Needless to say. I have to remove the electronics, home theater system, so more unscheduled projects. I'm antsy to get back on the LRE as I'm concerned I'm taxing the starter with the hard starting.

Anyhoo,, always appreciate the advice along the way.

Cheers, Ron

Yeah-yeah-yeah! (drool-drool-dribble) Pretty please - with Sonoco 120 octane on top? :):D
I guess that’ll force me to get a you tube account lol.
Ron, that stove goes over the center 2 manifold bolts, correct? Just due care to get em out, those are dry holes. The end manifold fasteners should be studs and nuts because those are wet.
The fuel pump is right under the alternator. Easy job from up top.
