About a 10 months ago I upgraded my lift pump to a mechanical pump and loved it for the most part until just recently I had a issue where my gage would go to zero at idle and then back up to 16-20 while driving, then Friday it would only get up to 10 and still nothing at idle, at first I figured my gage was taking a dump but I hooked a oil PSI gage to it and confirmed the gage was reading correctly
Any how I ended up pulling the Bypass Valve apart and sure enough there was some debris in it, after I clean it out it still did the same thing so I checked it again and pulled it apart again still nothing, the third time I blew it all out and then made sure the piston in it moved a few dozen times with a screwdriver and seems like the problem is solved 15-17 psi at idle and 16-20 WOT
