just a side note I love to smoke with the rest of them especialy the spandex clad tour de france looking dudes and dude looking girls that ride down the curvy roads in the country.





But it has been discovered that there is a emission or cinder in the smoke that is shaped like a sweetgum ball with spikes all over it and when inhaled it sticks in your lungs and stays, they say it is a worse carsinogen SP? than the ones in cigarette smoke so be careful and remember KARMA-what goes around comes around

:-laf I never thought it would get this far, but it did... just a shade less than 3 years too... The ratio is almost 1000 views to each reply, give or take. . If I am not mistaken, it is THE MOST VIEWED and MOST REPLIED TO thread on the TDR...



For those of y'all who love the thread, Keep on smokin'!!! For those of y'all who dont like it, go cry in the politics forum. .



A Sticker would be more feasible. . I could brand it on my truck, and when I go to a Diesel Rally somewhere else (We ain't having one this year as of right now), People will recognize Black Betty--- The Culprit behind "GREAT SMOKE STORIES!"



BTW, How many of y'all would be interested in putting stickers on y'all's trucks that say something like



"TDR GREAT SMOKE STORIES CONTRIBUTOR"?? I think it would be a neat idea; just toying around with the thought...

And We need Yet ANOTHER well educated person to tell us that smoke, of any kind, is damaging to our health... Our bronchial tubes just aren't warning us in time. :-laf (rivercat was/is not the target of this)

Last Friday my sister and I were drivin home from school, goin to Denver from Boulder. So these 2 cars roll past, a G35 and a 350Z, and they catch up to a Jetta, and they all decide to slow down to 50, and gun it up to about 80 or so and do it all over again. After a while I get around the jetta, turn up the box to 5 with smoke on 5, slow to 50, and get on it. All i see is the passenger lean so far over he is almost in the drivers way, and i do this like 6 times. Now its just a haze next to some of you guys, but hey. Then i get around the G35 who looked like she wanted to get to know my reciever hitch, she gets the smoke and drops about 200 ft back. I can't wait till this thing makes some serious coal

Just took on an 05 6.0......

Mom was in the truck with me, and as we were turning onto our parkway to go to our neighborhood, there was a cute little shortbed 6. 0 in front of us with a load of mulch in the bed... I told her it was so cute, and I hoped he had a camera, since that was the only load his little city-fied truck would ever see... Well, I decided to go around him, and noticed he sped up. . Ok, Jack@ss, it's on! All I was trying to do was pass this idiot, who I am sure it was his boss's truck... no way a landscaping laborer spreading mulch is going to afford a brand new truck with chump change, ya know?? so anyways, I spool up, and away we go! No competition, but still, I knew I was not going to let him out-do me... . We come up to the stop sign, him behind us, and I do a 3rd gear lug, and black out about 200' of street... I look back, and he is still there at the stop sign, waiting on the cloud to clear!! hahaha, Maybe next time he will be driving his chebby with all the wheel barrows in the back, and will be smart, & just let me get by and go about my way...

Got Another One

Me and my buddies were on our way home yesterday gunna get on the freeway, caught the light about the 4th or 5th car back. well the on ramp is a two lane merges into one about a hundred feet from the light so its always a battle. i was in the right lane and we all hit it, but not the guy two cars in front of me, he had to pick up someone on the friggin street! #@$%!

after the abs stop and all I had to squeeze around this moron. i believe my exact words were "well your getting smoke" thats after a few other choice words of course. Cruised real close and power braked. I couldnt have aimed the smoke pipe any bettter and with better timing. filled the interrior with a healthy smoke cloud and a whole lot of cummins straight pipe. looked back and saw the guy leaning over porbably wondering what the h**l was that. Just blows my mind how stupid people are.

Today we were going out to eat for the g-friends birthday. We're driving down Main St(3 lanes each way) in the middle lane. There's a fair amount of traffic and everyone's driving normal except for one jack*** on a Harley. This guy's swerving in and out of everyone while speeding up and slowing down to almost nothing. We ended up next to him at a red light, he looks at us and gives us the finger. Light turns green and he's gone. We both looked at each other like what the f**k. Two lights down, here we are again. This time we're in the left lane, he's in the middle and my pipe is aimed directly at the front of his bike. I smiled, she said don't do it, it was on. Turned the fuel wide open, light turned green and 'ol biker boy dissappeared. Got to the restaurant and while we were getting out a motorcycle cop pulled up. Here we go, ticket-emissions testing-the whole nine yards. I walked over to him and I noticed he was smiling. He said that was the funniest thing he's seen in a long time. Asked what I had done to the truck, said keep on smokin and took off. Talk about luck.

was partying at my cousins last night..... had a fellow come up to me (he had a 2001 7. 3 PSD slush box with the edge juice chip. ) and point at my truck and said "ive got a stroker, think you can smoke me?" (i dont have STROKER SMOKER across my windshield for nothing) sure i said . well he said lets go run one off. when we lined up he told me how bad he was going to put me to shame . i got a little smoke going as i built boost, and off the line we went. the truck lugged down a little off the start but after i grabbed 3rd gear i pulled hard on him and beat him by a truck length Oo. . after we got back to the festivities, he had said "i knew you were going to beat me, i just wanted to have a little fun!" :-laf

mark another one up for the stroker smoker... . i got it on video but after reviewing it... considering how dark it was all you can see is lights... #@$%!

On my way to Home Depot this morning I came up behind a good lookin 3rd Gen. First thing I noticed was the 5'' tip with a little soot on the fender so I had to get in front of him to show off some smoke. He pulled up next to me at the light and asked what I had done to the truck. Told him I had the basics and he said lets run em. I saw he had an Edge controller and an AFE sticker so he wasn't stock. I reached down and put her in 4HI boosted up to about 10#'s and let her fly. Blew him away off the line and hit the next light about 4 to 5 truck lenghts ahead of him. Rolled my window down at the next light and he was smiling ear to ear and said that was awesome. His g-friend said all he ever talks about is how fast his truck is until now. I gave him the TDR web site, enough said.

Heading on up to the TDR meet in MN yesterday. 4 big fat mexican in a _BABY BLUE_ Accord (early 90's). yes, baby blue merging on to i-94 west from 55. It's a 2 lane deal. the right lane turns into an exit I'm in the left lane blinker on merging to the main freeway. I look to my right an appernetly the Accord wanted to get infront of me first, nope sorry, I'm in the right of way here. As he realizes he wasn't getting over I get the finger from 2 of these guy. I laugh, make my lane change get to the second from the left lane doing 65.



They manage to get into the freeway get behind me about 10 cars back. For their effors to extend a "finger" to me, I gave them a little puff. I get the "finger" again. They get a second puff as I jump to the left lane to make a pass.



They now jump into the left lane a bit closer and start flashing gang signs at me, motion me to "come on and fight" or something. Typical urban city crap in their super fast baby blue Accord. Ok now, I slow down to 55mph, boost 1psi. Roll in hard, HUGE puff. More fingers, more gang stuff. So they get a second puff and they back off. Mission accomplished? nope.



As we get in that tunnel they run up on my hard, tail gating distance, start revving up their motor like. HA! ok sure kids. 6th gear lug-ish. more smoke, lane opens up, drop to 5th and I was "GONE" grab 6th, 100mph. back gone to 65mph. And they just fell back off into the distance.



Appernetly the smoke didn't work as it typicaly does. This time, I had to show that my truck was 10 seconds faster then their accrod would ever dream to be in a 1/4 mile. That worked.





Second story, more of a "respect" thing for the CTD. Newer, one of them "faster from factory" ricer burners. new car I think it was an "S or R" version of something. They are "ok" run 15second 1/4 deal. I'm on my way home lastnight from Billy Idol concert and this dude runs up on my right fast with a funky look at me as he passed by. I'm like "HA!, give me a funky look!" So I move up (looking for a friendly race) and we get stuck by some cars doing like 45mph on I35w. all 3 lanes blocked up with morons up front. I'm slowing there is a hole, I was going to let the other guy in front go and I was going to follow... . waiting. . waiting... waiting. . Ahh **** it, drop to 5th, grabbed 6th at his door and just took off. slowed up and he comes up finally look at me, HUGE SMILE, thumbs up, looks at the fender, and you can see him talk out "cumming turbo diesel" and the look of admazment was just hilarious. I waved and smiled and drove off
