Thanks. I have Dodge-drivin' cousins all over Southern Alabama (Cyrene, Jackson, Nanafalia, Grove Hill, Gulf Shores, etc. ). Just never heard of Moody. But you've probably not heard of these towns, either - except maybe Gulf Shores.

Bout to head out to lunch, and maybe on the way I'll give someone a puff from Ye Olde Stinky

So what kinda job lets you surf 4-5 hours, before lunch? And where do I send my resume?

Well now the 03 has the capability to put out some nice black smoke! Not as much as the 95 did, but pretty good all the same!

I work as a Marketing manger for a land title company- I was not going out to see any of my clients today, so I played on the web- Took me 4 long years to get this job- WELL WORTH THE WAIT :)

So here is my story, coming back from Texas today going home I hear on the radio that there is a Cruise in Altus Ok, cops are letting folks do burn outs on the street..... hum, I'm driving through Altus going home! So I jump into the Cruise that is packed, I make my way down and do a few small burn out then it's time to turn around... ... perfect spot and lots of folks to watch! I stall it out in full fuel mode to roll the smoke then ease out and get the tires spinning in high gear to 100+MPH and I come out walking it on the road (Piers Impression) for a half a block or so, there is so much mixed smoke that it is everywhere, can't see anyone, not the street, people or anything... total blank out, I have smoke coming through the vents into the truck... and I roll on down the road, one of the cops walks out and says we don't mind you doing that but don't walk it out..... for safety, slap fives and I drive off..... America is still alive!

Jim, what time did you roll through Altus? I went up there ~6pm.

Ben, I went through about 7:00-7:30, I only made 2 drags as I found some friends then I left after they opened the roads up.

Should have been easy to spot, the only heavy fueled Diesel doing burn outs(several) with PiersDiesel.com and DieselTrans.com on the back window.

I go through Altus when I go home from Quanah!

Gotta tell you an interesting Quanah story. I was passing through there in November coming back to Colorado. Two trucks pull out in front of me, each one hauling half a mobile home. They block up the damn highway through town so I pulled into the center (left turn) lane and go around 'em. Sure enough, I heard a bump as I ran over something in my brand new Honda Pilot I just bought my wife in Dallas.

Three miles west of Quanah I realize I got a flat tire so I pull over and stop. As I'm getting out of the car, here comes the two trucks laughing like hell and blowing their horns. I gave'em the international salute, naturally, and called AAA to come change the tire.

"We're 75 miles away," AAA said, "you're out in the middle of nowhere. It'll take us two hours or more to get there. "

S**t! So I change the tire myself and put the little thingy tire on and go back to Quanah and talk to the only tire repair shop there. A very nice man checks the tire and says it ruined. He also says he doesn't have one to fit the new Honda Pilot.

But he knows somebody in Childress, 30 miles down the road who might. So he calls Childress and the tire dealer says he has one. So I drive to Childress.

Childress dealer's got a tire but it's a highway tire and I want something with MS on it. He sends me to his brother-in-law on the other end of town. "He might have a tar (people in Texas don't know how to pronounce 'tire') like you want," he said.

So I go down and talk to this feller and, sure enough, he's got a tar. He's also got about 3" of dust on the floor of his shop which he keeps wet down with tobacco spit. But I buy a tar from him and git on my way agin (hell, I'm even talking like these boys now!).

All in all, it was a nice trip. Left Dallas at 6 a. m. and got home in a Colorado snowstorm about 10 p. m. But I won't fergit them folks in Quanah who hepped me out.

Now that is a good Quanah story, been around there most of my life in some shape or form, in the summer of 79' that drag was packed..... I was about to be a freshman..... now it's dead! Quanah has some good folks in it but there still in the 1980's..... I call it home! As of Saturday the Country Club folks know what a 12V runs like;)

I think the pics says it all.

Just keep in mind that this is injectors only (okay with the EZ on the "no additional fuel" setting).

Just imagine the damage with a little bit more fuelishness. :D

Aron!!!!! Glad to see you back on the boards! when are you coming down to Texas???? You need to come down soon before it gets too hot, and bring some of that beer you were talking about too!! PM me back and let me know how you, wifey, baby, and sister are doing!

All right I have a lame smoke story. My dad is looking in to buying a CTD and wanted to see how my truck ran. So I took him out for a little spin and when we got back to his house he hoped out while the truck was running and walked to the back to listen to my exhaust. When He hells FLOOR IT. So I did and he got a face full of Thick BLACK SOOT. You should have seen his face when He walked back to the truck. It was priceless, after he finished caughing he had a grin from ear to ear and said he couldn't wait to get one. And now we have another Proud CTD owner looking to get even with me!

Just back from 4x4 Jamboree, in Lima, Ohio. I was driving an overfueld stacked truck around, to leave, and crowds kept chanting, "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke!!

I finally asked Why?

"Because we are Rednecks, dude! We love it!"

So I smoked 'em. :D

Goin' smokeless

From what I read in the papers last week the days of makin' smoke might be over. New federal standards will reduce diesel pollution 90 percent by 2007. That's only three years from now. Sure glad a certain "somebody" at the TDR urged me to buy a 2003. He said the new standards would be coming on board in 2004 and was he ever right!

Say, did you see where Jeep is coming out with a Cummins-equipped vehicle? Looks like an oversize CJ-7, only better.

I'll ditto that Jeremiah.

I really liked my 02 but when I considered what was coming ahead with the EGR fear, uncertainty, and doubt I decided it was time to purchase my "last" truck. Although there were other factors like the 3500 dually, the four doors, the bigger disc brakes, the CMR quiet injection, the hydroform frame, Oh... and the Gen3 styling:rolleyes: I decided to go for it. I haven't seen a whif of smoke yet.

I can't imagine what a 07 will be like.
