tried the cruise today on my 98. 5, just barely surging on PL03. I dropped to PL02 and dead smooth. Way better than any other power adder I've used bar none. :)

You must have the vacuum cruise control. Mine on my 01 5 speed surged stock. I never did try a restriction in the line. I just stopped using it. The electronic one on my 6 speed is dead smooth with Mach 3. 8's & Smarty set on #9.

The instructions are pretty sparse for the Adrenaline at the moment. As far as I know, if you don't want the turbo timer, you either need to download a tune that doesn't have it, or apply the brake when you shut the truck off which should stop the turbo timer mode. As far as hooking up the cable, your best bet is to run the quad download and wait until it says searching for module before you connect the box to the computer. Hope this helps.

any info is helpfull ,thanks! I had to tap the FUEL pedal to shut off the timer. I dont see where the USB plugs into the module.

Thanks DUMMIE!, thats exactly where it is, duh!:) Now I just have to get Quad to put together the right combination of options!;)

For those following this thread and thinking about trying an ADRENALINE, This is one product that delivers. There is no hype. I have run a SMARTY, then a TST, then a smarty/tst stack, then upgraded the TST to a comp model, then swapped to an edge comp, and I can say with confidence that this box(QUAD) dollar for dollar add the features, simplicity, upgradeability, and useable power, the ADRENALINE can't be beat!

I believe "Cummins724" IS running it stacked with smarty.

I ran them stacked for a while, I did notice more midrange power, but the bottom end felt the same. Quad released the newest downloads on his site & I unloaded Smarty for testing. I'll play around with it again one day soon, but the quad is just so smooth that I don't want to bring back a jumpy pedal.

RowJ dynoed the Adrenaline on Friday & posted the results on DTR. He said the TST/Smarty stack gave him 160hp. Here is what he had to say.

Dynoed Adrenaline Friday night…. .

OBSERVATIONS… Five Dyno Runs; all with H2O/meth on.

-Box makes an honest 183 HP and 407 ft-lbs Torque, on my CTD

-PL08 is still strongest (dyno) setting tested…. As was on V300 tune (TST Comp was #7)

-Wish I had tested PL07

-PL09 lost 21 HP/200 ft-lbs

-PL10 lost additional 1 HP but gained back 39 ft-lbs

-Surprisingly Comp Tune on PL08 lost 56 HP and 130 ft-lbs …. . Pulled smoothly and hard to 3850 rpm and felt stronger than results showed??

RESULTS…

1st Pull - ADR2000 on PL00, 415 hp / 849 ft-lbs

2th Pull - ADR2000 on PL08, 598 hp / 1256 ft-lbs, reved to red line rpm

3rd Pull - ADR2000 on PL09, 576 hp / 1056 ft-lbs, reved to red line rpm

4th Pull - ADR2000 on PL10, 575 hp / 1095 ft-lbs, reved to red line rpm

5th Pull - Comp Tune on PL08, 541 hp / 1126 ft-lbs,reved to 3850 rpm

Correction Factor = 1. 1, All results corrected #'s

What other equipment was on the truck? Thats weird that the comp file lost so much power. I'd like to see the dyno sheets from Quads test vehicles.

Maybe you guys can help me out on one big question - how's the Adrenaline behaving with the auto trannies (tight TC/built for power). One of my three big beefs with Smarty is the 'stacked shift' issue during light throttle upshifts getting on freeways from around 45-55 mph. Having to drive using the OD lockout button you get used to but still a workaround.

Beef number 2 is cruise control... ... ... ..... how is the Adrenaline doing with electronic cruise control like my '01. 5 has?

Beef 3 is support and promises not kept. No need to go deeper into that.

My friend has one on his 98. 5 with automatic. His truck shifts great now & cruise works again. Best thing is that the Adrenaline is switch on the fly, no more transmission worries for you auto guys.

FTwardoch, Have you tried adjusting the TV pressure in your valve body? My Suncoast was stacking the shifts pretty bad when i first put it in. Adjusted the screw in about 15-16 turns and it drives great now. They say you dont want to adjust it more than 2 full turns but thats Bull Kaka

Here is another DTR members post [bnold] who dynoed the Adrenaline Friday night. Adrenaline is knocking them down!!!! Congrats bnold!:-laf

Well I ran Friday night as well... Ran the ADR2000 tune after RJs COMP runs didn't turn out so well... . Dont think it had much to do with heat soak as it took 4 runs to get the dyno set properly and then another 5 runs for the results RJ posted... Guranteed CAC was heat soaked long before the ADR2000 runs as well... Bet he is over 600 pretty easy if he ran them first... .

I ran:

ADR2000 PL08 586/1141

ADR2000 PL07 w/baby . 048 shot (cold bottle 550psi) 607/1155

ADR2000 PL08 w/baby . 048 shot (cold bottle 550psi) 620/1206

Was happy to be over 600!!

Best TST Comp/Smarty ever did for me was 520ish

Here is his sig.
