TRUCK WON'T TURN OVER

Truck won't start-
when I turn the key... there isn't a click or anything
batteries were replaced
clutch safety switch has been bypassed
headlights and electrical systems work
I have a full load on the truck and I am stuck.

2005 3500/ 6 speed 4x4

The starter has never been replaced.

Temporary fix to get started may be to tap on the solenoid. It has worked for some.

There is a cable that runs to the starter over the left motor mount, some reports speak about a short there from chafing.

if it turns out to be a bad starter check out Powermaster starters,put one on my truck about 2 years ago,staryer spins faster than oem and my truck starts better than it ever has.may not be the cheapest way to go but I am very happy with mine.
