Comming home from work today, I thought I would pull into a local truck stop and weigh my truck and trailer. I been complaining about the truck not pulling like it used to.
Was I supprised to see the weights. The front axle was 4260lbs, rear--5000, and the trailer 10,700 lbs. Combined was 19,960. This may not be much to some but that is 2000 over my RV fiver. Now the truck weighs 7460, with a full tank.
My point being, I felt my rig was going sour and I was loading it up. Now I wonder just how much will these Cummins will pull. Talking to a diesel mech. yesterday, he said these engines are de-tuned like you won't belive. If they were not the torque would twist the frame into a "barber pole". HVAC says 600 HP, how does it take it?
Well I guess it's time for 370 marine injectors and fuel plate. We'll see.

Your are still a light weight!!
As i've grossed 25 k and a few times over 32k thru the hills of va. -w. va. I-77 Ky-NM. ca. -id nv. ia, factory turbo-inj-and fuel plate, (adjusted)and not had a proplem blowing past the big rigs except when the outside temp's get to 94 deg,then you have to shift out of 5 th or 4th 100dg to keep the rad under control,needs more cooling cap for these temps/weight.
This same eng is put in Fl 50's & 60's and is the main stay for Ford F 600's,pulling 54k
in there case it is set around 265 hp.
