Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) What should I know?

I've owned 2 first gens, and 2 third gens, but my 96 is my first second gen.



What is what? The terminology is different than the other. Guide me oh wise ones



I am familiar with the KDP, that should be fixed soon.

Hey TX, well a couple other things you'll hear about is the AFC starwheel (air/fuel control) which controls how quickly fuel comes on versus boost. And there's the cam plate aka torque plate which controls fueling. Then there's the GSK (governor spring kit) which raises your governed speed for more usable RPM. Hope this helps a little

Yes indeed. My little problem with the throttle not coming on full resolved itself - NO IDEA WHY or how But this thing smokes like a friggen train. Other than twins, what's the best way for more power less smoke?
