I have a FASS and I had to put in a fuel pressure regulator to eliminate hard starts. The pressure I run is 12 psi at this pressure you could keep your existing gauge. I would connect the FASS and see if you need a regulator. My FASS runs about 15-17 psi at idle.
The contacts inside the starter wear out over time which causes that fuse to blow. Mine did that I replaced contacts and stater works great! Alot cheaper than a new starter and its a simple job.
