No, I blew the center out of the clutch, again... I am waiting on all the parts to get here, and all will be well. . I just have to watch how much I play when out and about now, due to all the new laws. . Truck is laying low in the garage, staying out of the sun! will be back running next weekend!

back to the soot party.
Some DUFUS with funky fog lights was behind me tonight. I got far enough ahead in the 65 zone that it wasn't too bad. My GF and I were in radio contact and she said he was speeding up and slowing down and she couldn't get the mexican bus (suburban:-laf) around him. This is all on four-lane rural highway. So miles later when the limit drops to 55, I back off and he runs right up behind me, but not close enough to be a tailgater. I back off to 52. 5 (thanks DC) and hold it there thinking the idiot will come around. He stays there. I fire a warning shot, he swerves a bit. As we're coming up a good hill, I back down to 50, dial up the box, lift completely, tell the GF to watch out, and floored it in 6th. OH, the humanity!

Put out those silly fog lights for a bit, and then the gizmo brain figured out that maybe he should go AROUND this stinkin arse diesel going well under the speed limit.![]()
Mission accomplished.
Later I realize that we could have really freaked the boy if I'd had the GF kill her lights (she was behind him) about the time he ran into the soot bank... well, maybe next time.
