The Night before Christmas

Like "rolling coal" ??

It was a nice day up here in the frozen north and i thought it would be a good idea to go for a drive. So I put on my big summer tires and off i went. i get about 20 mi. from my shop and i pull up the light in the left lane and a gold Probe pulls up next to me. i got my windows down as does he. this lil probe has got the pillar gauges a monster tach and a fire extinguisher bolted to the passenger A-pillar. he starts reving it up and i here a pop-off valve "vroooom pffffff vrooommm pfffff" light turns green and he sits and spins. so i start to lay into it and i just take off leaving 2 strips in the road and a cloud in his cab. the next light about 1/2 mi down he does it again but just as all the light turn red before they turn green for us he takes off gets across the intersection the light turns off i go and i ran him down with authority. don't think probe boy liked that especially when he slid in behind be and i slowed to 45mph and had it locked up in OD and rolled into it hard. bubye probe boy. that was my weekend fun hope you enjoyed it.

The Fat Kid

LOL @ C. Harlan, that is how I get over from the left lane of traffic to the right. Smoke rolls right down the 24 footer and into the right lane making a huge hole for me to merge into. Not even a need to signal, since they can't see it anyway... ... ... ... ..... :D

Last night at work, (It's just the senior mechanic, and myself) I start up my truck, to let it run and bring it up to temp before I leave... It always blows a little white haze when cold, just as most people's trucks do on here that are mod'd.

He then proceeds to tell me that it cant be right, and that I am burning too much fuel. . I just look at him, smile and say "Yep... It's s'posed to do that" He has an 8 or 9 second mustang, but has not been introduced to the whole Diesel performance concept just yet. . I made sure when I left last night to do a second gear lug start, making a huge nasty thick cloud!!! No telling what I will hear today!!!

On another note, I got a crew cab ford yesterday... It was a gasser, but he was still on my tail... I smoked him a few times, he didnt get the hint, so I laid into it, and blacked him out. . no problemo after that! He didnt try to stay on my tail after that. . I have seen an increasing number of trucks around here with stacks, or gauges, which is good, but none of them ever want to play! Oh well, right??

Saturday night I took My ol' Lady out to dinner at one of those Dimly Lit, High dollar joints in town to see how the other half lives. Any way as you well know, It is prom season, and a few kids were out front taking pics, My wife told me not to, but I couldnt resist the temptation. . It was funny watching them cough and gag... ...

got some bikers

On my way home from work I was in the right lane at a light. the bikers were in the left lane. the light went green and I got going, the bikers were holding back about 4 carlengths from the car in front. I signalled and they tried to speed up to cut me off (they weren't able to). Immediately the TST went to level 9x9 and the peddle went to the floor giving them a fair sized cloud. I backed off the peddle and coasted back to the speed limit and waited for them to get close to give them another dose :) . after the second dose they backed waaay off.

My daughter and I were on our way home from having lunch in Huntington Beach. We stopped at a light next to a gas station. I let a BMW in front of me who was pulling out of the gas station and he waived to say "thanks. " I slowly pulled forward to close the gap as I had done my good deed for the day. 30 secs later a new Toyota Tundra (all decked out) is pulling out of the gas station right where the BMW came from. I guess he got ****** that I was blocking the driveway so he honked. I turned and there were to big monkeys inside. Light turned green and the guy behind me let the Toyota in. So the guy is right behind me now in a lane that turns into a freeway onramp. I floor it at about 1400 rpm (before my turbo spools) and belch this tremendous cloud of black soot that is so thick I couldn't see anybody behind me. I continued this routine through all gears up to 6th. When the smoke cleared I could see that he was ****** and was trying to catch up to me on the freeway. He never did.

Who says 3rd gens don't smoke?

Awesome!!

I hope to get a 555 3rd Gen within the next few years (if I strike it rich which I hope I will).

But anyways, don't tease me!! :D I'm smokeless in MN, trucks down with front brake job in progress. :( If I could only get a puller that will pull the hubs off the axle. Hopefully tonight!!

TMaas... Do a search on pulling those front hubs. You can do it without a puller... . I know I've posted it a couple of times.

Back to the smoke

Josh

Hey Josh!

I did a bunch of searching..... found a thread that you posted in... ... thought I had printed it out and when I got to the shop I found that I must have forgotten to print it. I will do a search on it again this afternoon. I have to wait for the UPS man to bring my new Dell Laptop and the Fed Ex man to bring my new bedding for my upcoming home-away-from-home deal.

Smoke on, for me!!

Thanks!

I finally got to play with a little fart can muffled car yesterday... it was golden! I was almost to work on a parkway, and it went from 2 lanes to 3... . I jumped over in the right, as usual, and some little white car with two idiots got right up on my tail... I just left it in 6th, and hammered down... It took a little while to spool but when I did I was off like a prom dress! I look back, and its just one huge @ss cloud!! I slow down, and look over, and those guys wouldnt even look at me!!!! Hahahaha, oh well, got my daily smokin'!!

Yesterday a group of wanna-be-gang bangers were standing at the corner.

You know the type. Pants hanging down to their ankles, boxers hanging out, hats on crocked, and looking for trouble. I was doing about 20 mph and I reached over and locked up the TC and layed on the throttle as I passed them. Covering them in a beautiful dark cloud of smoke. All of them had pulled up their shirts to use as a respirator and they scattering in different directions trying to escape the cloud. I was just laughing so hard I almost started crying.

That was my good deed for the day. I will have to look for them tonight on my way home and see if they are there again.

dog

There was a little chihuahua that partially ran out in the road this afternoon, and i almost hit it. . but decided to lay down the hammer and his poor little head was exhaust pipe level. . he soon had a sour look on his face :-laf . . the dog dissapeared in the death cloud and it emerged running the other way with it's tail between it's legs :D

Okay, I can't take it anymore, what makes your truck a 98. 4? I don't get it! :{ :{ :{ :{

Dodge switched to the 24v engine mid year '98. The '98. 4 and older 2nd gen trucks have the 12v engine.

Hey thanks!! Got the site bookmarked and shortcut'd to the desktop.

Anytime. :)

I've heard it can be done without a puller, but sometimes... ..... Haven't had to do it, yet. :)

top-down Miata

Well the weather broke momentarily in NE Nevada and the bikes and convertibles started coming out this past Saturday.

I stopped at a light and this guy in a Miata convertible with the top down pulls in behind me where I could barely see him behind me. The light then turns green. As I pull away I look quickly into the rearview mirror and he almost rear ends me since 2nd to 3rd shift is kind of slow. He then proceeds to shake his fist at me and flip me the bird. So a few blocks later we get to the next light and I make sure that I would get there when red. The light turns green and then I short shift to 3rd and lay into it. I think I saw a couple of fists/middle fingers and a hat flying around fanning the air, but I wasn't sure. It could have been a thunderhead rolling in for all I knew because you know in Nevada if you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes! I'm kind of worried that I may have hurt his feelings now... :-laf

I feel OK now.

Man, I never thought I would see this thread go over 1,000 posts! This is kind of cool. . I just made a post a little while back as a joke, and jeez... I am making post #1004! ALTHOUGH-- When we have Diesel Rallies, or get togethers, all I have to say is "I'm the one who made the 'Great Smoke Stories' thread"... I will either get a dirrrrty look, or get a few laughs... Keep a postin' guys!!!!
