I did'nt realize how stupid I am....

I am very particular who works on my truck. I got my new stage 1 injectors and wanted to have them installed before my weekend dash to Az. After trying to get the truck in two differant shops I trust, I gave up and called the shop 2 doors down from my dealership. The resident diesel guru said "no problem". So I reluctantly surrendered my truck to them. He called me today and said there was a problem. I walked over and he had my new injector in one hand and the #1 delivery tube in the other saying, "they sent you the wrong injectors, these are not the same. I asked them to please put my truck back together and I would take it to someone that could spell diesel. I can't believe I was that stupid... .....

WE've all done similar stupid things... . In case you're interested... there has been a few, very detailed posts on the install... did it myself in 2 hours, 15 minutes of that was spent gathering the right tools... after the first injector, you learn shortcuts on the rest... . way easy. .

I second that. If you have the ability to follow simple directions and go about the process in a methodical way, then you can do it yourself without a problem. You'll feel so much better knowing YOU did the work, and it was done right! #ad

I have made re-entry after being in orbit several hours. I WAS HOT! I do not have the tools to do this job. I have always been a believer in letting others do what they do best and I do what I do best. Finding that person is the real challenge... ... .

Barry,wonder what would happen if you asked him to change your oil. Would he come out and say you have the wrong new filter because the inside of the old one is black,but the new one is white?Lose that guy,he probably runs up double the labor bill because he starts turning nuts the other direction half way though tightening them. #ad

PS: I have just bought 12 acres 2 miles down the road from my dealership. I will be building a new RV sales, service and storage facility. I would like to combine the "Grand Opening" with a "TDR Rally" and the BBQ. will be on me!!! I think I can have it ready for Sept.
